But if you're here on purpose, or are looking for a lawyer, we may be able to help – although there's still a good chance that we won't be able to (Sorry again). This is because:
- We are an extremely small practice. Basically, there are just 2 of us (Chappell and Pascoe) together with a (very) small band (more like a trio, really) of lawyers and support staff. Clifford Chance we ain't.
- We are extremely picky in what we do. We just don't touch some areas of the law, either because we think they are very boring indeed, or because we're simply no good at them.
- We don't dabble just to keep client numbers up. For example, we never touch conveyancing these days. (This business about Home Information Packs, "e –conveyancing" and all that stuff is just – well, it's frankly beyond us, and we don't find any of it very interesting either).
- We are located in Crowborough, which – although fairly close to Tunbridge Wells, Lewes and Brighton – is not necessarily the easiest place to get to from further away. However, if you want to combine your visit with some food shopping, there are now 3 large supermarkets in town, within insult-throwing distance of each other.
Some people have questioned the style of our website, suggesting it is somewhat too flippant and irreverent for a respectable law firm. If you are one of those people… sorry once more. However, please bear in mind that, although we may poke fun at ourselves, that doesn't mean we don't take our clients seriously. We shall do our utmost to deal with you and your case attentively, sensitively and efficiently.
