The firm is called Chappell Pascoe Solicitors. It is an unincorporated partnership under the law of England and Wales. A list of the partners is on our website and our letterhead. We are registered in England and Wales, under number 80742, with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), which is the regulatory arm of our professional body, the Law Society. The terms of business which will apply to any work which we do for you will vary depending on the type of work. They will be sent to you with our engagement letter. If you want to see the terms of business before you instruct us, please ask. All of our contracts for legal services are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
We carry professional indemnity insurance with XL Insurance Co Ltd of 70 Gracechurch Street London EC3V 0XL (arranged through AON Professional Services) giving worldwide cover of £2million.

We try to resolve complaints quickly and directly with you. If you have a complaint, please contact the person you are dealing with at the firm. We shall provide full details of our Complaints Handling Procedure, including details of the Legal Ombudsman on request - or automatically if you have already made a complaint.
Data Protection
We may collect information that you might provide when contacting us with an enquiry. If you do not go on to instruct us, we will not retain your details for the purpose of contacting you in future about our services. If you ask us to do work for you we will collect relevant information from you, which will include personal data. All personal data is stored and used in accordance with the Data Protection Act. 1998.
We may ask you to complete questionnaires or other surveys, used by us for research purposes, although you do not have to participate.
We have procedures in place to protect your personal data from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Where personal data that you provide to us is stored electronically, it will be held on our secure servers and protected by a series of security measures. Where personal data is held manually, all of our staff - and any third parties involved - are subject to strict obligations to maintain the security of that personal data. We use information held about you to carry out the work that you instruct us to do, to provide you with information or services that you request or which we think may interest you, and to ensure that we comply with our legal obligation to check your identity and to prevent fraud.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. Nor do we share it, except as necessary to carry out the work that you instruct us to do, or as required by law, or where third party regulatory bodies are auditing our services or suppliers are updating or maintaining our IT systems.
You have the right at any time to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. You also have the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
